North Carolina’s House Rules Committee rejected a bill legalizing medical marijuana, because legislators felt they were receiving too many phone calls and emails about the bill.

However, the Committee did approve the bill that would criminalize the exposure of female breasts.

The Supreme Court is preparing to hear arguments regarding Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, which opponents say unfairly targets southern states for federal interference.

Concerns have been raised over the design of North Carolina driver’s licenses set to be issued to DREAMers in March, citing fears that the license highlights their legal status and puts them at higher risk for discrimination.
